To provide a dehumidifying apparatus which has a good response and can correspond to a load change inside an air-conditioned room.
The dehumidifying apparatus 10 is provided with at least a dehumidifying area 14A and a regeneration area 14B and a dehumidifying rotor 14 in which a dehumidifying material passes alternately through the dehumidifying area 14A and the regeneration area 14B by holding and rotating the dehumidifying material, a treatment-side air blower 18 provided on a treatment-side passage 16 connected to the air-conditioned room 12 through the dehumidifying area 14A to allow air for treatment to pass through the dehumidifying area 14A to supply air to the air-conditioned room 12, a regeneration-side air blower 28 provided on a regeneration-side passage 24 connected to a heater 26 through the regeneration area 14B to allow the regenerated air heated by the heater 26 to pass through the regeneration area 14B, a head-count detecting device 32 detecting the head-count in the air-conditioned room 12, and a central arithmetic unit 34 controlling the treatment-side air blower 18 from the detecting results to adjust the blowing air amount of the process air.
