Title:
DEHYDRATING DEVICE FOR TWIN-WIRE FORMER OF PAPER MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06146192
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject dehydrating device capable of optimizing the pulse pressure applied to a stock slurry according to the paper-making conditions by making the wire lap angle which is a dominating factor of the pulse pressure to be adjustable even during the operation of the paper machine.

CONSTITUTION: In a twin-wire former type machine, a feed soln. pinched between looped wires 1 and 2 is dehydrated by a dehydrating device 6' in the course of moving together with the wires to get a fiber mat, which is grown to a paper web. In this paper machine, each dehydrating blade 6b' of the dehydrating device 6' is supported by two holding bodies 6c' held at a fixed position and 6c" held by a flexible tube 6d to enable the adjustment of the supporting position. The lap angles θ1 and θ2 between 4 dehydrating blade 6b' and each of the wire 1 and wire 2 can be adjusted by this mechanism.
