PURPOSE: To facilitate the connection of a wire of the dehydrating device for connecting the wire via a connecting fitting to a brake rod interlocking to the opening and closing operations of a dehydrating tank by inserting the wire into the detaining hole of a detaining part projectingly provided at the connecting fitting and fixing a stopper terminal to the front end thereof.

CONSTITUTION: This dehydrating device to be built into a double tank type washing machine, etc., has a brake mechanism which is actuated via the brake rod 41 and the wire 31 by the opening operation of a dehydrating cap for opening and closing the upper aperture of the dehydrating tank and restrains the movement of a dehydrating basket. The connecting fitting 34 is formed of a flat plate of a square shape and the plural latching holes 35 are formed in zigzag arrangement of two rows on one end side thereof and the detaining part 36 formed with the detaining hole 37 is provided on the other side at the time of connecting the brake rod 41 and the wire 31 by means of the connecting fitting 34 in such a case. The U-shaped part at the end of the brake rod 41 is hooked to one of the latching holes 35 and the end of the wire 31 is inserted into the detaining hole 37. The stopper terminal 38 is caulked and fixed to the front end of the wire, by which the wire 31 and the brake rod 41 are connected.
