PURPOSE: To provide a method for dehydration and a dehydration device therefor with the provision of a hopper shape capable of preventing the peeling of a dehydrated material from an electrode and securing an electric current density required for dehydration in a dehydration tank.
CONSTITUTION: This dehydration method by electric permeation and the device therefor are composed of a hopper (hopper with an inclined surface) 1 with a diameter expanding toward its upper opening part storing a dehydrated material 4 which can hardly be filtered physically such as sludge, at least one electrode 2 which does not come in contact with the hopper directly but does with the dehydrated material, vibrators 13, 14 provided if necessary, and structures 8, 9, 10 which reverse the hopper. The material to be dehydrated stored in the hopper is dehydrated by an electric permeation method and then can be taken out. Consequently, the dehydration efficiency is enhanced by the smoothed contact of the material to be dehydrated with the electrode. In addition, the operating efficiency is enhanced as the dehydrated material is discharged surely and rapidly.
