To provide a method for removing water from a gas containing methane and at least one higher hydrocarbon and the water and/or taking out the one or plural higher hydrocarbons by treating the gas.
A bypass gas from a line 18 is brought into contact with an aqueous phase, fed from a separator drum B1, passed through a line 8 and saturated with a solvent in a mixer M21. In the mixing step, a gas is saturated with the solvent. The aqueous phase and vapor phase are separated in a separator drum B21. The gas, passed through a line 21, emerging from the drum B21 and saturated with the solvent is then mixed with a gas emerging from a contact zone G1, subsequently passed through a line 3 and fed to a heat exchanger E1. A part of the solvent contained in the aqueous phase emerging from the drum B21 is removed at an outlet of the drum B1. The aqueous phase is further passed through a line 22 and injected into the top of the contact zone G1. The concentration of the solvent in the aqueous solution becomes a value divided by a coefficient of 2.5 based on the solution circulating through a line 9 by the first step for bringing the gas into contact with the solution rich in the solvent in the mixer M21.
