To provide a muddy material dehydrating method and its system which can stably and efficiently perform dehydration treatment.
The dehydration method of muddy material containing sand and muddy water comprises a separation step for separating the muddy material into the sand and the muddy water, a muddy water concentration detecting step for detecting the concentration of the separated muddy water, a mixing step for mixing the separated sand and the separated muddy water to generate a mixture stock solution to be dehydrated, a sand ratio detecting step for detecting a ratio of sand contained in the mixture stock solution to be dehydrated, and a hydration step which dehydrates the mixture stock solution to be dehydrated with a screw press 5 while controlling the rotational speed of the screw press 5 based on the concentration of the separated muddy water detected in the muddy water concentration detecting step, and the ratio of the contained sand detected in the sand ratio detecting step.
