Title:
DEHYDRATION OF WATER-CONTAINING SUBSTANCE BY ANHYDROUS LACTITOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62152535
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily prepare a high quality dehydrated article without lowering the quality of foods of medicines, by containing anhydrous lactitol to a water- containing substance to convert the same to a lactitol hydrate crystal.

CONSTITUTION: Anhydrous lactitol is contained in a water-containing substance such as foods, medicines, cosmetics or stock materials thereof and changed to a lactitol hydrate crystal to perform dehydration. Anhydrous lactitol is substantially anhydrous one and develops strong dehydrating action when is converted to the lactitol hydrate crystal and the moisture thereof according to a Karl Fischer's method is pref. below 3w/w% or less and the pref. addition amount thereof is 0.0W500pts.wt. of 1pt. of the water-containing substance.
