Abstract:

To simultaneously and economically dehydrate the wet paper web, the forming screen and the conveying screen by nipping the wet paper web from the head box between the forming screen and the conveying screen and allowing them to pass through the first dehydrating means and the air press.

The wet paper web 14 from the head box 12 is conveyed out as it is allowed to come into contact with the open-loop forming screen 16 at its lower face 20, then the forming screen 16 is brought into contact with the web 14 on its upper face 18, then they are nipped in sandwich with the close-loop conveying screen 28 that works in cooperation with the forming screen 16 and conveyed. Then the wet paper web 14 is dehydrated with the first dehydrating means 34 and the water is removed from the paper web 14, the forming screen 16 and the conveying screen 28, as the air flow is allowed to pass through the paper web 14 at least more than 85% in the air press 44.
