PURPOSE: To enhance safety of a dehydrator, by connecting an inner wire, to which a brake is connected, to an operation lever part which is connected to an operation lever part which is connected to a panel in a freely revolvable manner and has a leading end contacting with the leading end part of a dehydrating lid.

CONSTITUTION: To an operation lever part 31 which is connected to a panel 29 in a freely revolvable manner and has a leading end contacting with the leading end part 30 of a dehydrating lid 26, an inner wire 33 having a brake connected thereto is connected. Said wire 33 is pulled toward a direction shown by an arrow as brake force as well as the lever part 31 is brought into contact with the leading end part 30 of the dehydrating lid 31 and, when the lid 26 is closed, brake force is applied to the lever part 31 through the wire 33. Because the lever part 31 is integrally connected to the panel 29 at one end thereof and brought into contact with the leading end part 30 of the lid 26 at the other end thereof, brake force added to the lever part 31 is distributed to the panel 29 and the leading end part 30 to reduce force applied to the lid 26 as well as to prevent heat deformation of the lid 26 or deformation due to long-term use.
