Abstract:
To provide a deinking agent synthesizable without involving any complicated processes, capable of obtaining reclaimed pulp of high whiteness with slight residual ink even by any deinking treatment method, i.e., washing or flotation method, therefore useful for recycling waste paper.
This deinking agent comprises a compound of the general formula (1) (wherein, R1 is an alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkenyl or hydroxyalkenyl; n is an integer of 1 or 2; m is an integer of 1-3; B is a polyether residue with its terminal oxygen atom bound to X; and X is H, an alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkenyl, hydroxyalkenyl, acyl, hydroxyacyl, sulfonate salt residue, carboxylate salt residue, phosphite salt residue, hypophosphite salt residue or phosphorus oxide residue).
