Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delay unit for electromagnetic switch capable of preventing miss trip state of a thermal overload relay, even if a large current flows when starting a motor.SOLUTION: A delay unit 4 is connected in parallel with an electromagnetic contactor 1 and a thermal overload relay 2 connected in series with an electrical path between a power supply 5 and a motor 6. The delay unit includes a heating actuator 15 heated with a current diverted from a power supply and generating an operating force, a contact 16 connected in series with the heating actuator and performing the opening operation and closing operation, a contact switching section 17 for switching the contact from closing operation to opening operation with the operation force generated in the heating actuator, and an electromagnetic contactor linkage section 18 linked with the closing operation of the electromagnetic contactor and performing the closing operation of the contact.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
