Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demagnetizing apparatus in an electromagnet lift apparatus whereby a complete demagnetization is made possible by only one reverse excitation.
SOLUTION: In an attracting process wherein a storing and computing means 10 attracts a steel material 5 of an attracted object based on the outputs given from a search coil 8 and a magnetic flux/electric variable converter 9, the process is so formed that determining the magnetic characteristic of the steel material 5 from the responding variation of its magnetic flux to its positive excitation current, its residual magnetic flux density is predicted from this magnetic characteristic to compute and store a gate pulse for its reverse excitation whereby the reverse-excitation current for canceling this residual magnetic flux density by only one trial is given, and when it is released, giving the command of the stored gate pulse for its reverse excitation to a gate pulse generator 7, an electromagnetic 4 for lifts is reversely excited to release it. In this case, instead of the search coil 8 and the magnetic flux/electric variable converter 9, such a magnetic sensor 11 as the magnetic flux/electric variable converter may be buried directly in the magnetic pole of the electromagnet 4 for lifts to input the output of the magnetic sensor 11 to the storing and computing means 10.
