To provide a demolition method for a boiler and a boiler building, which enables boiler dismantling operations to be performed on the ground or in a low place near the ground, without being performed in a high place, which prevents the boiler from falling due to the weight of the ceiling beam and the boiler, suspended by a jack, which facilitates ceiling beam cutting work, which can avoid collapse, caused by the deflection of the boiler building during earthquakes, by virtue of excellent earthquake resistance, and which dispenses with a step of cutting a connecting material for connecting the ceiling beam and the boiler together.
In a ceiling section of the boiler building 1, a temporary beam 3 is laid and placed between permanent columns of the boiler building 1, and fixed onto the permanent columns. The jack 5 is provided in a prescribed position on the ceiling beam 6. A hanging member 7 of the jack 5 is fixed to the temporary beam 3. The ceiling beam 6 is separated from the boiler building 1 by cutting both ends of the ceiling beam 6. The ceiling beam 6 and the boiler 4 are lowered by paying out the hanging member 7 from the jack 5, and stopped for the dismantlement of the boiler 4.
