To obtain a safe and effective dendritic cell vaccine having antigen presentation activity and useful for leukemia, hepatic cancer, etc., by using a cell obtained by the cultivation and differentiation of a precursor cell of a dendritic cell as an active component.
A dendritic cell having antigen presentation activity and produced by culturing and differentiating (A) a cell suspension containing a precursor cell of a dendritic cell in the presence of (B) a differentiation inducing agent and (C) a chemokine is used as a main component of the objective vaccine. Preferably, the component B is a combination of granular macrophage colony stimulation factor (abbreviated as GM-CSF) and interleukin 4 (abbreviated as IL-4), a combination of GM-CSF, IL-4 and tumor necrosis factor (abbreviated as TNF-α) or a combination of GM-CSF, stem cell factor and TNF-α, the component A is marrow cell, cell originated from umbilical cord blood or peripheral blood monocyte and the component C is CC chemokine.
