Title:
DENITRATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013052371
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a denitration method operative at a temperature equal to or lower than the precipitation temperature of acid ammonium sulfate determined by an equilibrium constant.

The denitration method includes blowing, as a reducing agent, ammonia (NH3) or urea which is a precursor of NH3 into exhaust gas that contains sulfur trioxide (SO3), and then bringing the exhaust gas into contact with a catalyst to reduce and eliminate a nitrogen oxide (NOx) contained in the exhaust gas. The catalyst in use comprises an oxide of titanium (Ti), at least one of molybdenum (Mo) and tungsten (W), vanadium (V), and phosphorus (P), and a denitration reaction is performed at the temperature equal to or lower than the precipitation temperature of acid ammonium sulfate determined by the product of the respective concentration of NH3, SO3 and water (H2O).
