Title:
DENSITY MEASURING DEVICE FOR NUCLEAR FUEL SINTERED BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3440041
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a density measuring device for nuclear fuel sintered body capable of performing a careful height measurement according to the shape of the end surface part of a sintered pellet and thus significantly improving the precision of measuring the density of the sintered pellet.
SOLUTION: When the sintered pellet P put on a transparent mount plate 10 is pushed out by the protruding and recessing arm 14 of a pellet carrying device and located in a prescribed position of a mount base 21, laser displacement gauges 29a and 29b move to above of the upper end surface of the sintered pellet P and under the lower end surface thereof, respectively. The gauges 29a and 29b then rotate by 10° in an arrowed direction Y2 and scan the sintered pellet P in an arrowed direction Y3 at each angle to detect the upper end surface height and lower end surface height thereof.
