Title:
DENTAL AGAR IMPRESSION MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3454368
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a failure in taking a dental impression due to maloperation by enabling the visual sensing of a temperature of a dental agar impression material.
CONSTITUTION: This dental agar impression material is obtained by displaying a color dependent on a temperature thereof using a temperature-sensitive color changing agent. For this purpose, the temperature-sensitive color changing agent is blended in the dental agar impression material. A color changing agent composed of (1) an electron donative coloring organic compound, (2) an organic compound having phenolic hydroxyl group and (3) a coloration regulating compound is preferred as the temperature-sensitive color changing agent and preferably causes a change in color at the softening point of the agar impression material or the vicinity thereof. Furthermore, in addition to the change in color at the softening point or the vicinity thereof, the agent preferably causes a change in color at a temperature at least other than the softening point of the temperature-sensitive impression material or the vicinity thereof.
