To ease the fear and anxiety felt by the patients from the treating instruments or the like by making the instruments invisible from them during the non-treatment period.
The dental care unit is constituted of a work table 2, an instrument holder 5 and an instrument 9 placed on the instrument holder 5. The instrument holder 5 is fixed at the tip of a mobile arm extended from a body fixing part of a dental treatment chair or the like and then, at the front lower part of a table base 11 so that it can be moved integrally with the movement of the mobile arm 10. The work table 2 is mounted above the table base 11 so as to be movable (slidable) longitudinally (in the direction of the arrow) and can be made slidable manually, electrically, by a fluid pressure or the like. The work table covers the instrument 9 when pulled out ahead as indicated by the broken line in Fig. (B).
