Title:
DENTAL CASTING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06133988
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To quickly expel air from the cavity of a mold and to easily cast a molten material into the mold so as to obtain a casting of good quality by performing casting while vibrating the mold using a vibration generator.

CONSTITUTION: To cast a dental filling, an ingot of castable ceramics is placed in the basin portion 5b of a mold 15, which is then secured to the support portion 15a of a mold holding portion 16. Next, the mold 15 is heated to a predetermined temperature using electric heaters 13, 14. Thereafter a vibration generator 18 is operated to vibrate the mold 15. Under these conditions, the ingot 20 of castable ceramics is heated and melted using a burner 19 and the molten material is made to flow into the cavity 15a of the mold 15 by its own weight; in this case, since the mold 15 is vibrated, air from the cavity 15a is smoothly expelled to spread the molten material all over the cavity 15a so as to obtain a casting of good quality.
