To provide a dental chair unit provided with a safety mechanism for preventing an accident of a human body, machine parts, etc., pinched in a gap formed by moving of a backrest, a footrest, etc., in controlling a posture or collision when the gap is changed, particularly while the gap gets narrow.
The chair unit is provided with: a sensor for detecting an invasion matter arranged at the tip part of the back surface of the back rest for detecting the invasion matter between a seating and the back rest without contacting; a sensor for detecting an invasion matter arranged at the tip part of the foot rest for detecting the invasion matter between the seating or a floor surface and the foot rest without contacting; a sensor for detecting an invasion matter arranged in rear of the proximal part of a hand rest on a spittoon side for detecting an invasion matter in a gap between the side surface on the side of the spittoon of the back rest and an assistant holder or between them without contacting; and a sensor for detecting an invasion matter between the side surface of a hand rest and the side surface of the spittoon without contacting, and receives a detection signal from each sensor and processes it. The chair unit is provided with a CPU for commanding posture control for preventing the accident of the human body, the machine parts, etc.
