To provide a composition for dentistry, showing small polymerization shrinkage at curing, and providing a cured product having excellent flexural strength and high esthetic properties.

The composition for the dentistry contains a polymerizable monomer represented by general formula (1) äwherein, R1, R2, R3and R4are each a group represented by general formula (2) (wherein, Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4and Y5are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a 1-6C alkyl group) or a 1-6C alkyl group, with the proviso that at least one thereof is the group represented by general formula (2); R5and R6are each a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; X1and X2are each an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or NH; k and l are each an integer of 2-12; and m and n are each an integer of 0-4}.
