To provide a dental diagnostic apparatus capable of accurately obtaining information relating to the inside of a tooth, especially a root canal, without being affected by a liquid chemical or the like.
This invention relates to the dental diagnostic apparatus provided with: a measurement electrode 3; an oral cavity electrode 5; a measurement signal impressing means; a measurement means; and an arithmetic processing means, wherein the information relating to the root canal of a tooth is obtained from an electric characteristic value. The measurement electrode 3 is inserted to the root canal of the tooth 1 which is a measurement object, and the oral cavity electrode 5 is electrically brought into contact with an oral cavity mucosa 4. Also, the measurement signal impressing means impresses measurement signals between the measurement electrode 3 and the oral cavity electrode 5, and the measurement means measures an electric response between the measurement electrode 3 and the oral cavity electrode 5 for the plurality of measurement signals of different frequencies. Further, the arithmetic processing means computes the electric characteristic value of the prescribed part of an equivalent circuit for which a conduction route between the measurement electrode 3 and the oral cavity electrode 5 is modeled on the basis of the electric response.
