Abstract:
To provide a user-friendly dental extra-oral suction system.SOLUTION: A dental extra-oral suction system (ST) includes: a suction arm (1) having a first switch (161) and a second switch (171), a suction port (19) opening to an apical surface, and a ventilation passage disposed inside and opening to the suction port (19); a suction machine (3) connected to the ventilation passage and operated on the basis of operation of the first switch for executing suction operation from the suction port; an illumination device (18) equipped to the suction arm so as to illuminate an orientation direction of the tip, which is operated on the basis of an operation of the second switch; and a control part (32) for controlling the operations of the suction machine and the illumination device. The control part controls the operation of the suction machine and the illumination device by an interlocking mode in which the illumination device is turned on while the suction machine is executing suction operation, and the illumination device is turned off while suctioning operation by the suction machine is stopped on the basis of the operation of the first switch only, and by a non-interlocking mode in which the operation of the first switch for activating the suction machine is not caused to act on the activation of the illumination device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
