Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an appropriate centering, accurate rotation of a dental instrument as well as simplified collet clamping by applying a rotatable pressure sleeve having a transferable tapered face above to cooperate with a pressure roller touching a clamping sleeve. CONSTITUTION: A spring 14 is put in between the circular shoulder of the spindle sleeve 13 and a clamping sleeve 3 to realize a reciprocal contact between both tapered conical faces facing a dental instrument 5. A rotatable pressure sleeve 9 provided with a transferable tapered face 10 is to contact the clamping sleeve 3 in a handpiece sleeve 1. Further at least one of pressure rollers 8 is to, through the rotation of the sleeve 1 and the pressure roller 8, cooperate with the transferable tapered face 10 so that the pressure sleeve 9 axially moves on following the press force of the spring 14 to release the connection of the both tapered conical faces on the dental instrument side of the collet 4 and the spindle sleeve 13. The collet 4 is made to be released by rotating the sleeve 1.
