Abstract:
To allow an operator to perform safe therapy and reduce variation in therapeutic effects regardless of a degree of proficiency of the operator in a root canal therapy using a dental handpiece.SOLUTION: A dental handpiece system S1 comprises a handpiece 10, and a rod-shaped cutting tool 20 for cutting a root canal 2 of a tooth 1. The handpiece 10 includes a handpiece body 11, and a head part 12 provided at a tip end of the handpiece body 11. The cutting tool 20 is rotatably attached to the head part 12 of the handpiece 10. When cutting the root canal 2, the dental handpiece system S1 detects at least one of force F that the handpiece 10 receives from the outside in an axial direction Z of the cutting tool 20 and acceleration A of the handpiece 10 in the axial direction Z of the cutting tool 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
