Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental instrument hose engagement tool designed so as to prevent the pull-back force of an instrument hose from getting applied to the hands of an operator holding the instrument.
SOLUTION: The dental instrument hose engagement tool has first and second rotating members 12 and 13 rotatably arranged on each of shafts 14 and 15 connecting two facing side plates 11a and 11b. The protrusion 12a of the rotating member 12 and the recess 13a of the rotating member 13 engage with and disengage from each other by rotation. The rotating member 12 having the protrusion 12a has a protrusion 12b protruding from the side plate in a side opposite to the engagement and disengagement portion. The tool has a spring member 16 urging the first rotating member 12 and the second rotating member 13 in the directions in which they separate from each other, and an instrument hose 20 provided in a side toward which the rotating member 12 having the protrusion 12b rotates, and the instrument hose 20 is held by the spring 16 in the 12a' section of the rotating member 12.
