Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dental primer capable of providing both an enamel and a dentin with high bond strength without carrying out pretreatment with an aqueous solution of an acid, by using a mixture of a phosphoric acid monoester of a specific structure and a phosphoric acid diester as a phosphate group- containing polymerizable monomer.
SOLUTION: This dental primer comprises (A) 0.5-50 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of the total, of the components A to C of a phosphate group-containing polymerizable monomer, (B) 1-50 pts.wt. of a polyfunctional carboxylic acid group-containing polymerizable monomer and (C) 5-90 pts.wt. of water as main components. The component A is composed of a mixture of a compound of formula I and a compound of formula II (R1 to R3 are each a polymerizable unsaturated group-containing organic group; Z is 0 or S; X1 to X3 are each OH or a group to form an OH group by reaction with water) in the blending ration of the compounds of formula I and formula II of 1:0.75 to 1:35 by molar ratio.
