Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a dental tool rotary operation device capable of easily performing the rotary operation of a small dental tool from the outside of a mouth and capable of easily changing over a rotary drive direction.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary member 16 having a mounting hole 28 in which a dental tool is fitted in a relatively non-rotatable manner is arranged in a fitting hole 22 so as to be rotatable around a center line O and a large number of engaging grooves 34 are provided to the outer peripheral surface of the rotary member 16 at an equal angular interval to be engaged with the non-return pawl of the ratchet member 18 energized by a compression coil spring 44 and a handle main body 14 is reciprocally revolved around the center line O to rotate the rotary member 16 in one direction. When the ratchet member 18 is rotated around its axis by 180° by a rotation changeover knob 12, the non- return pawl 36 is turned conversely and the rotary member 16 is conversely rotated and driven.
