Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a recording operation from being left successively and an erroneously recorded part from being left on a recording tape even when a camera is carried in a state a recording mode.
CONSTITUTION: This video camera comprises an angular velocity sensor 1 which detects the rocking of a video camera main body, a microcomputer 3 provided with a means to calculate level difference between the input value of the angular velocity signal of the angular velocity sensor 1, a means which counts '1' when calculated level difference shows a value exceeding a threshold value and '0' when it is less than that, a means to store a count value, a means to calculate the number of times of the count value stored in the prescribed number of times exceeding the prescribed value, and a means to compare the calcualted number of times with an integer, a system microcomputer 4 which performs a control operation by a signal from the microcomputer 3, and a power source circuit 11 cut off under the control of the system microcomputer 4.
