Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate foot control of memory/automatic operations without requiring the position of a safety switch provided at the base portion of a dental chair to be made sure by eyes by providing the safety switch with a memory/automatic switch function.
CONSTITUTION: In a dental unit having a foot-controllable safety switch 12 at the base portion of a dental chair 1, if the safety switch 12 is operated following predetermined requirements when the chair 1 is in a treatment or reference position, e.g., if the safety switch 12 is pedaled twice succesively, the chair 1 is moved from the treatment position to the reference position or vice versa.
