The dental unit includes: a patient chair (10) having a seat (11) arranged so as to be vertically movable, a backrest (12) to be inclined/erected by turning with respect to the seat; and a headrest (13) arranged at the end of the backrest; a doctor unit (30) where instruments (32, 35) to be used for a treatment are arranged and which is arranged on the side of the patient chair so as to be movable or turnable between a position close to the backrest of the patient chair and a position apart from the backrest; and a movement control means having a driving source to move or turn the doctor unit, and a command means for commanding the actuation and stop of the driving source.
