Title:
DENTITION CORRECTING TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3447825
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a dentition correcting tool equipped with a bracket having an arch wire inserting path extending approx. in the horizontal direction, in which the wire inserting path is formed as a groove being open toward the lips, the bottom of the groove is used as a wire placing part, and thereby use of any mounting wire is eliminated and attachment of bacterial plaque is made less likely.
CONSTITUTION: A dentition correcting tool 21 includes an arch wire inserting path 27 which is formed approx. in the horizontal direction and bent in U-form toward the deeper place of a groove. The opening part 27a of this wire inserting part 27 is left open toward the lips, and a wire placing part 27b is furnished which makes U-turn and is directed toward the lips. At treatment, the tool 21 is fixed to the front surface of a tooth by adhesive which is applied to the adhesion surface 29. An arch wire 2 is inserted from the opening part 27a of the tool 21 and set in the placing part 27b. Because a spring-back force in R-direction acts on the arch wire 2, movement in P-direction is hindered so that occurrence of slipping off is less likely.
