PURPOSE: To obtain the excellent adhesiveness of a denture base to the alveolar border, by using olefinic synthetic rubber formed into rubber by crosslinking as a lining material other than an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer to bond the same using a specific adhesive.

CONSTITUTION: A lining material 3 having rubbery elasticity is formed to the whole of the surface, which is opposed to the surface of the mucous membrane of the alveolar border, a denture base main body 2 composed of a polymethyl methacrylate PMMA resin in a thickness of 0.5W1.5mm by an adhesive to fix an artificial tooth 4. As the lining material, an ethylene/propylene copolymer (EPM) or an ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer (EPDM) is used and a crosslinking agent is added to this raw material rubber and the resulting composition is heated to be formed into rubber. The elasticity of the rubber after crosslinking is about 50W70 as hardness and said rubber is softened at about 50W70°C in a state generating no crosslinking and crosslinked at about 90W120°C. The adhesive to be used is composed of an ethylene MMA copolymer or a propylene/MMA copolymer.
