To obtain a deodorant composition having insect-proof, mite-proof and bacteriostatic properties.
This composition is prepared by mixing water with ethyl alcohol, an amphiphilic organic compound, a linear water-soluble poly(meth)acrylamide exhibiting strong aggregating properties and having an anionic group, a cationic group and a neutral amide group in the molecule, a water-soluble bacteriostatic agent or further a moth-proof agent in an amount within a prescribed range and diluting the resultant mixture. Noxious insects, mites, noxious microorganisms and malodors can collectively be removed and the indoor environment can be cleaned by spraying the resultant composition on the surfaces of indoor floors, walls, ceilings, indoor housed goods, and the like. The composition is low toxic, low irritant, low odorous and incombustible and can rapidly be dried.
