To obtain a deodorant resin composition which allows no bleed out from the resin and effectively and securely inhibits generation of aldehydes when added only at a small amount, and to provide a molded part thereof.
A deodorant resin composition comprises a resin and a deodorant (an aldehyde scavenger) selected from urea derivatives and amidine derivatives. The urea derivatives include N-substituted urea, urea condensate, monoureide, diureide or the like and may be non-cyclic or cyclic ureide derivatives, metal salts thereof or the like. The amount of the deodorant used is, e.g. about from 0.01 to 30 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. resin. The deodorant molded part includes molded parts such as a powder and granular materials, fibers, coating films, films or sheets, bags, containers or the like. The deodorant resin molded part is placed near or together with an aldehyde-generating source to deodorize aldehyde odors.
