Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant composed of edible vegetables and capable of removing odor specific to foods containing a sulfur compound by mixing and to provide a method of deodorizing.
SOLUTION: The odor specific to foods containing the sulfur compound is deodorized by drying vegetables which have been cultivated under a fertilized condition with a chelate compound-containing fertilizer and by mixing the vegetables with the foods containing the sulfur compound. The fertilizer is prepared by formulating 0.01-4 pts.wt. of a metallic compound, 1-5 pts.wt. of an amino acid mixture selected from the group consisting of a mixture of a saccharic acid with an amino acid, a mixture of a fatty acid with an amino acid and a mixture of a saccharic acid and a fatty acid with an amino acid, 2-8 pts.wt. of a potassic fertilizer, 0.1-1 pt.wt. of a nitrogenous fertilizer and 0.01-2 pts.wt. of a phosphatic fertilizer, mixing with water and controlling the mixture at pH 6.0-7.5.
