To improve sustainability of adsorption capacity by arranging a mixture of copper oxide and manganese oxide, double oxide of copper and manganese, one type of platinum family element, zeolite and activated carbon to be contained into a deodorant.
At least one selected from a group of a mixture of 0.5-50wt.% of copper oxide based on CuO and 3-70wt.% of manganese oxide based on MnO2, a double oxide of copper and manganese and a platinum family element, zeolite and activated carbon are contained into a deodorizing body. The zeolite is selected from a group of mordenite, Y type zeolite, pentasil type zeolite and zeoltite β. The content of the zeolite is set at 10-80wt.% and that of the activated carbon at 1-80wt.%. Thus, mercaptan based odor is decomposed by a mixture of copper oxide and manganese oxide, and double oxide of copper and manganese with a higher decomposition copacity and a disulfide generated is absorbed by the zeolite and the activated carbon to suppress offensive odor.
