Abstract:

To provide a deodorant capable of effectively adsorbing and removing a bulky malodorous substance.

A deodorant consists of a mesopore carrier being inorg. oxide having uniform pore size of 2-10nm and a metal halide bonded to a functional group present on the inner surfaces of at least pores of the carrier. The pores of the mesopore carrier is optimum in the adsorption of a bulky malodorous substance such as trimethylamine and can adsorb and remove a malodor effectively.
