Abstract:
To provide a deodorization filter carrying a photocatalyst and a deodorizing device with the filter which achieves excellent deodorizing performances of acid odor.
The deodorization filter carries photocatalytic particles and an alkaline substance on a filter base material. The photocatalytic particles decompose by oxidation organic substances such as alcohols and aldehydes in an odorous gas to deodorize the odorous gas. Lower fatty acid generated in the process of the oxidation decomposition by the photocatalytic particles is neutralized by the alkaline substance thereby reducing or preventing the generation of the acid odor.
