PURPOSE: To obtain the subject fiber, consisting of a thermoplastic polymer component containing a prescribed amount of a zinc compound and a thermoplastic polymer component containing a prescribed amount of an aluminum compound and exposing both components to the surfaces thereof and capable of maintaining deodorizing effects for a long period.
CONSTITUTION: The objective fiber which is conjugate fiber, consisting of (A) a thermoplastic polymer component, such as polyester or polyamide, containing 0.1-15wt.% zinc compound, such as zinc oxide or zinc sulfate, and (B) a thermoplastic polymer component containing 0.1-15wt.% aluminum compound, such as aluminum (sodium) sulfate, and exposing both components (A) and (B) to the surface of the above-mentioned fiber.
