A water-insoluble or scarcely soluble tetravalent metal phosphate of the formula HaMbOc(PO4)d.nH2O [M is a tetravalent metal; (a), (b), (c) and (d) are each a positive number satisfying the formula a+4b=2c+3d ((c) may be zero); (n) is 0 or a positive number] is supported as a deodorizing agent. The sheet has excellent deodorizing power to a basic gas and the deodorizing power is restored by the irradiation of ultraviolet rays.
