Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the concentration of dissolved oxygen in raw water to a low level by providing a cooling unit to cool the sealing water for a water seal type vacuum pump.
CONSTITUTION: Dissolved oxygen in raw water is removed by evacuation with water seal type vacuum pumps 3, 4 through deoxidizing modules. Where, sealing water for the water seal type vacuum pumps 3, 4 is cooled with a cooling unit 13. Thereby the partial pressure of the water vapor in the vacuum pumps 3, 4 can be reduced to evacuate to a lower pressure, and the concentration of the dissolved oxygen in the raw water can be reduced to a level lower than about 10PPB.
