Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dermal agent for external use exhibiting an excellent effect on prevention or therapy of pimles by its bactericidal action.
CONSTITUTION: This dermal agent or lotion for external use is added with 0.025-30wt.% trehalose-6-fatty acid ester, has low irritation and specifically exhibits bactericidal action on Propionibacterium acnes. The trehalose-6-fatty acid ester is obtained by an ester interchange reaction between trehalose and a fatty acid lower alkyl ester, and 6-undesinoyltrehalose, trehalose-6-palm oil fatty acid ester are cited. The dermal agent or lotion can be appropriately added with a surfactant, a moisture keeping agent, a pH adjuster, a thickener, an antiseptic, a keratolytic agent, an antiphlogistic agent, etc.
