PURPOSE: To provide the subject preparation excellent in sweating-inhibitory activity, comprising aluminum hydroxychloride, a polyol, lower monohydric alcohol and water.
CONSTITUTION: The objective external preparation comprises (A) 0.01-60wt.% of aluminum hydroxychloride, (B) 0.01-20wt.% of a polyol (e.g. 1,3-butanediol), (C) 3-60wt.% of a lower monohydric alcohol (e.g. ethanol), and (D) 1-96.98wt.% of water. The present preparation is used in the form of face lotion, lotion, body lotion, deodorant lotion, deodorant spray, hair tonic, or milky lotion, having excellent sweating-inhibitory effect by mere application on the skin, being useful as a sweating-inhibitory external preparation, esp. for open sites such as the body and face, and, when applied on the face, being excellent in the inhibitory effect on makeup spoilage due to sweating.
