Abstract:

PURPOSE: To readily and efficiently desalt soysauce lees useful as a feed, a foodstuff, etc., by packing crushed soysauce lees into a column, making water pass upward from the bottom of the column and extracting salt.

CONSTITUTION: The objective desalting of soysauce lees is carried out by packing soysauce lees crushed up about 1 to 10mm size into a column, making water pass upward from the bottom of the column at a space velocity (SV) within a range of 1 to 5 and extracting salt.
