Abstract:
To reduce the remained thickness of a scale and the developing quantity of a scale fault, in a scale removal on a heated steel plate at the outlet side of a heating furnace.
This method is the one, in which after passing through ≥10sec since ejecting from the heating furnace 1, the low pressure water is ejected on the surface of the steel plate 2 and thermal stress is given to the scale with a predescaling device 3 and the high pressure water is injected on the surface of the steel plate 3 within 30sec thereafter to execute the descaling. In such a case, the pressure of the lower pressure water is made to ≤20kgf/cm2 and the pressure of the high pressure water is made to ≤120kgf/cm2.
