PURPOSE: To provide a strong nursery stock having high disease resistance, good in root taking and growth for soil when once planted therein without requiring a wide place and efficiently obtainable in a short period and a method for producing the nursery stock.

CONSTITUTION: This nursery stock is obtained by grafting a scion through a grafting site part onto a stock, forming at least two layers of wax films on the outer peripheries of the scion and the grafting site part and developing a current shoot from a part of the scion.
