Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the capacity of a superconducting field coil by splitting a lower insulator, and providing its radial helium flowing hole at an axially displaced position. CONSTITUTION:The rotor of a superconductive rotary electric machine is composed of a coil mounting shaft 1 having a helium flowing hole 21, a superconducting field coil 5, a wedge, etc. In this case, lower insulators 6c, 6d attached to the inner and outer peripheral sides of the split coils 5 are provided, and radial helium flowing holes 11c, 11f, an axial helium flowing grooves 11d, and a circumferential helium flowing groove 11e are formed on the insulators. Thus, insulating distance can be increased by displacing axially the groove 11d and the hole 11c. As a result, the increase in the thickness of the insulator 6 in the slot can be suppressed.
