To provide a system for supporting design and management work of underground pipe construction and engineering work by displaying a control chart with management information necessary for design management, construction management, and maintenance management work in a GIS (Geographical Information System) and by employing a new concept of a volume management model.
This design/management support system that uses a GIS including a storing means where volume management model data, design specification data, quantity data, and integration data are registered includes: a means for using a function of the GIS, preparing a control chart being a plan with the design specification data and storing the control chart in a storing means; a means for reading and displaying control chart data; a selecting means for making arbitrary sections/site selectable in the control chart; a means for coloring and displaying the selected sections/site; an integrating means for automatically integrating a cumulative project volume and a cumulative project cost; and a means for displaying the automatically integrated cumulative project volume and cumulative project cost, wherein the control chart displays a unique volume management model code set in each volume management model.
