Abstract:
To reduce occurrence of variations in designed objects due to skill, knowledge, experience and proficiency of operators in design work, improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce a cost required for the manufacture, and perform customization processing to be applied to each bracket with minimum labor and time.SOLUTION: A design and manufacturing method of orthodontic brackets includes: manufacturing brackets of ready-made shape (collectively manufacturing large quantities); collectively converting shape data of attachment surfaces and attachment sites of tooth surfaces of patients set in the design based on tooth rows and tooth surface shapes of the patients, into a coordinate system of a customized processing tool; creating processing data such as NC data on the coordinate system; and customizing each bracket attachment surface by customizing the manufactured base part of ready-made shape, while improving manufacturing efficiency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
